Ahlan wa sahlan! Hoe gaan dit? Como estas?

Ralph Waldo Emerson said it best: "life is a journey, not a destination." But it's more than a journey - it's a challenge, a discovery, an adventure, a disappointment, a surprise, a struggle, a pain and an absolute pleasure.

The key is openness. Being open to new and different people, places, situations, cultures and concepts has allowed me to redefine myself while reinforcing my core.

My path is one that keeps my head in the clouds and my feet on the ground. On this journey of mine I am seeking to find my contribution - what exactly I can do to contribute to positive change in the world. Being a feminist, I am particularly committed to developing greater gender equity on a local, international and global basis.

Shalom!

The world is a wonderfully weird place, consensual reality is significantly flawed, no institution can be trusted, certainty is a mirage, security is a delusion, and the tyranny of the dull mind forever threatens. But our lives are not as limited as we think they are. All things are possible, laughter is holier than piety, freedom is sweeter than fame, and in the end it’s love and love alone that really matters.
